Teniers Prints on Canvas (Giclees)
Teniers, David, called Teniers the Younger (1610-1690), Flemish painter, born in Antwerp, son of the Flemish painter David Teniers, known as the Elder. He painted on canvas religious and mythological subjects, but he is best known for his delicately painted genre scenes of peasant life. The latter include such canvases as Flemish Country Fair (1652, Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts, Brussels) and Smokers in an Inn (circa 1650, Staatliche Galerie, Schwerin, Germany).
