Bazille Prints on Canvas (Giclees)
Frederic Bazille (1841-1870). Born into a well-to-do family of wine producers, Frederic was fist introduced to the painters Delacroix and Courbet by Alfred Bruyas, a family friend and art on canvas collector. Bazille went to Paris and attended art lessons at Gleyre's studio where he met fellow artists Lepic, Sisley, Renoir and Monet. From 1865 to 1866 Bazille shared a studio with Monet and then the following year he shared a studio with Renoir.
