With this canvas transfer service we can transfer to canvas any printed image that you provide us as paper prints, photos, digital photos or posters. We transfer the
image printing directly onto the canvas itself using the giclee method (because the image is printed digitally your poster or print is returned to you in the same condition it's received). The price of the canvas transfer is directly related to its size. If you want to know the price for a transfer please use the calculator below. NOTE: The canvas transfer can be made larger or smaller than the original so the measures used to compute the price are the transfer image size on the canvas print. Also note that the maximum size we make is 34x72" or 72x34" Brushstrokes Effect is an extra feature that adds more realism to the canvas print. Do you varnish the canvas prints? Do you recommend brushstrokes? How long will it take for me to receive my transfer? What about the image copyrights? WHAT TRANSFER METHOD DO YOU USE? We digitally transfer the image on the artists canvas using the Giclee method. This is currently the most advanced technology to print directly onto the canvas. Back to top WHAT CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO CANVAS? Any image that you can send us can be transferred to canvas as long as it does not infringe any copyright ownership. As a general rule, there is no problem as long you own the copy and your intentions is to use the canvas transfer for your personal enjoyment and not for commercial purposes. We can transfer your photos, posters, art prints, photocopies, textile embroidery, drawings, books or magazine images, maps or any other image that you wish to send us. Back to top DO YOU RETURN THE ORIGINAL IMAGE? Yes, in every case the image you provide to be transferred is returned to you together with the canvas transfer. Back to top DO YOU TRANSFER DIGITAL PHOTOS? Yes, your digital photos are welcome to be transferred to canvas. Back to top DO YOU TRANSFER DIGITAL FILES? Yes, any digital file can be transferred to canvas including your own scans. Back to top DO YOU TRANSFER PHOTO NEGATIVES OR TRANSPARENCIES? Yes we do, but on these cases an extra charge of $30 for drum scanning of the film applies for each negative or transparency. Back to top CAN I SEND YOU A THUMBNAIL FROM THE INTERNET TO BE TRANSFERRED? Yes you can as long as it does not infringe any copyright ownership, but most Internet images have very poor resolution as they are intended to be shown on the monitor only. The maximum acceptable size of the canvas prints will depend on the resolution and quality of the original image. If you email us the image we will tell you the maximum possible size. E-mail us / Back to top HOW CAN I SEND YOU THE DIGITAL FILE? You can either use our uploading tool to send the file and simultaneously place and pay online for your order or send it attached to an email or recorded on a CD. In this case after we receive the image we will contact you with the payment instructions. Back to top WHAT FORMAT DO YOU ACCEPT? We prefer standard graphic industry formats like: psd, tiff, bmp, gif, jpg, jpe, eps, pdf, pic, pxr, pcd. Back to top WHAT SIZE CAN THE CANVAS TRANSFER HAVE? We can make the canvas transfer in the same size of the original and also enlarge or reduce the image according to your needs. Please note that the quality of the image on the enlargements is related to the quality of the original and its size. As a general rule of thumb, enlargements up to 5 times the size of the original give good quality canvas transfer. Beyond 5 times some sharpness loss can be expected. As a tip, the larger and sharper the original, the better quality the enlarged transfer will be. Back to top WHAT SCAN RESOLUTION DO YOU RECOMMEND? When scanning yourself, we recommend that you scan at 300dpi or more. Back to top MY ORIGINAL IS LARGER THAN MY SCAN BED, WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT? Just scan the image tiled in several passes allowing no less than 1 inch of overlapping between them. We will join the image for you at no extra cost. Back to top DO YOU ACCEPT ORIGINAL PAINTINGS? No. We are sorry but as per limitations of our insurance cover, we can’t handle original artworks, please send us only copies or photos but never the original painting. Back to top DO YOU RETOUCH THE IMAGE? As a normal step of the transferring process, we clean small imperfections of the original before transferring it to canvas. But if you specifically want something to be removed or retouched please include instructions with your order. We will contact you if additional charges apply for your request. Back to top CAN YOU CROP THE IMAGE? If you want only a part of the original image to be transferred just clearly specify which part do you want and we will do the necessary cropping. Back to top DO YOU VARNISH THE CANVAS PRINTS? Yes, we apply a specially formulated anti-fading, clear varnish to protect the canvas transfer against moisture and to filter the Sun's harmful UV rays. Back to top DO YOU RECOMMEND BRUSHSTROKES? It will depend on each image. Brushstrokes enhance all canvas transfers from paintings because they add realism to the print but on photographs the brushstrokes could have little or no effect. Each case is different and you should decide according to your own preferences. Back to top HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY CANVAS TRANSFER? Our transfer to canvas service is only intended to fulfill your own personal needs and is not intended for any commercial purposes whatsoever. With this service we transfer to canvas posters, photos or prints of your property and for your own personal enjoyment, not for re-sale or for any other commercial use. Consequently when you order a canvas transfer from us we assume and you agree, that you will not use the canvas transfer in any commercial activity.
